Lake Coeur d'Alene, Idaho |
Addendum: I think that's supposed to happen at the end of a post, but what the hey! I can do it anywhere I want, it's my blog.
Only 2 1/2 weeks away from the Last Move!
Right now DH and I are on Maui, having a fabulous vacation on the in-laws. (Thanks, love you guys!) When we get home, it's pack up the last of our things, and hit the road.
So, pretty much I'm posting this picture
because …
I didn't have any pictures of those cute shamrocks, and it makes me feel pretty darn lucky just looking at this!
The DH and I get to move back to North Idaho in May. Wahoo!
If you've never been to Coeur d'Alene, it's one of the cutest little resort towns on the lake you'll ever visit. We were lucky enough to live there several years ago, but my husband's job moved us to Portland area.
That turned out to be great. I would never want to miss living that near the ocean, and so many art museums, galleries, theaters, etc. And did I mention the shopping? Hello, Nordstroms!
But after a short detour to my home state of Montana, which didn't work out for family reasons, we're headed back to our favorite place to Stay. Put. For. Good.
So, y'know, look for me in the area. If you drive through on the interstate or stop down by the lake, wave! I'll be the one in the boat, short blonde hair flying in the breeze, big smile on my face.
And I like to think this move is lucky for readers too, as I'll be continuing to write full time.
Book 1 of The LodeStar Series (erotic sci fi romance) is set to debut soon,
I'm writing Book 2 of a light BDsm series for Samhain,
and I'm planning a fun, hot (did I mention FUN?) series set in Coeur d'Alene.

Maggie,
No worries, you and DH are on the 'please come and visit' list!
And I'm hoping readers will visit in the new series.

Cathryn
We still miss you in Portland, but I'm so happy you have found your "stay put" happy place. 🙂
This sounds lovely, Cathryn! The move sounds like a good one for you!!
I need a hammock on that porch, and when I'm done reading I want to jump in that beautiful lake!
That picture is beautiful, peaceful – very nice! Good luck on the move.
What a beautiful view. I would love to live in a place like that myself. I live in the forest right now with the bears and FL Panthers lol Best of luck with your move 🙂

How beautiful. I'd stay put there too. 🙂
Just dropped by to say hello and wish you well during your blog hop. V
How wonderful that you'll be in such a beautiful setting and writing full-time. ::sighs wistfully:: Now that IS lucky!
Linda,
We have indeed. I miss you too, but luckily we're close in 'cyber-space', yes?

J. Rose,
I am lucky to do both, and I know it. Can't wait to fledge my wings and self-publish a whole bunch of stories that are burning in my imagination!

M.S.,
We seriously need lakes nearby, too. A boat has been our family RV since our boys were small, and we've never regretted that. Still running that same SeaSwirl, in mint condition.

Rhonda D,
I hate moving too, and have done it too too many times.

Kay Dee,
Love Michigan! So gorgeous … but wouldn't want your winters. You're tough, you Michiganders.
thanks for stopping,
Cathryn
Jeannette,
Sounds beautiful where you are. Never been there, hope to travel thru one day.

Elise,
this view is actually from the deck of our friends' cabin, where we spend lots of time. We'll be living in the lovely little town just moments away tho. Yay!

Anne,
thanks! On a move, need all the good luck wishes we can get.

Danita,
I have written parts of three books on that deck! Just got to hand my friends the print copy of Walking in Fire, the first book I wrote (partly) there. Very fun.
Wish you could hang your hammock there. We'd read and then jump in. Coeur d'Alene Lake is really nice to jump into … July, August and September are primo. Other than that it's a bit chilly.

Cathryn
Fedora,
Thanks so much! It will be a good move and I'll be able to get lots and lots of writing done–Woohooo!
